A few short weeks ago, it was my father-in-law’s birthday. We threw a super fun party with breakfast for dinner and plenty of brownies and ice cream for dessert. The kids were having fun making tons of dirty dishes and plenty of party mischief. But you know what’s a bear? Cooking for 12 people and having the cookware and dishes left to clean. Especially when it’s baked on brownies and french toast bake. I was proud to show my guests the power of Cascade Platinum pacs and Rinse Aid that powered through my baked-on food and left everything sparkling!
Now I’ll have to admit, this wasn’t my first time creating a french toast bake. But the way our family can eat, even though I made TWO heaping 9×13 pans of it, and there was hardly anything left! Paired with plenty of bacon strips, fresh mixed fruit and hefty dose of syrup, my party goers were happy to sing wishes to the birthday Pop and then check out my dishwasher… yup.
As dirty and full as it was, I didn’t pre-wash a single dish and wanted everyone to know it. Between the baked-on brownies and the crusty, sugary, french toast pans, I was really nervous that the dishwasher’s performance and that Cascade couldn’t actually get everything clean in such a quick time… But, my guests (and let’s face it… me, too!) were so surprised to see that a mere hour later, all of the party dishes were so spotless you could see right through them! They were sure to share on twitter and online at Cascade their thoughts on the #CascadeShiningReviews.
What’s neat to know as a pre-wash hater (seriously, the most pre washing I like to do is letting the dog lick the ketchup off the plate) is the results of a Cascade survey. The results are really kind of entertaining, and knowing them makes me feel better about needing to learn to load a dishwasher the right way!
- Nearly half (46%) of survey respondents believe that skipping the pre-wash means their dishes will come out gross. When in reality, they can break this habit and SKIP THE PRE-WASH. Cascade Platinum will help them achieve the ultimate clean and sparkle. Who says you can’t have it all?
- We know that people pre-wash their dishes for many different reasons. Some do it because they think any leftover food will clog their pipes or such. This is understandable when you consider that almost no one (a mere 11% of survey respondents) knows that most dishwashers come equipped with a garbage disposal.
- More than half (56%) of respondents load their dishwashers after each meal.
- 42% have actually gone so far as to re-load the dishwasher after their family goes to bed because they didn’t think their family member(s) did it right the first time! ummmm…. I have done this… sorry, Baby!
- And a perfect half of survey respondents stall when dishes need to be done. Now that’s just silly. You can drop in the Cascade Platinum, hit “start” and be on your way; no more pre-rinsing!

My favorite recipe is guacamole dip. I got it from my mom.
Ooh how exciting that you got to participate in the panel!!
Wow congrats girl! I wish I was able to tune in but I’m at work during those hours. I recognize Wanda who I believe is on V-103.
I love meatballs made by recipe that my sis-in-law gave me. 🙂
I’m usually the person bringing the fresh fruit and/or fresh veggie tray. We go to a lot of family events and my son LOVES his fruits & veggies so this assures he eats. 😉
I’m a Chips & Guac girl my self.. And if that sits out too long at a party it can be a pain to rinse. I don’t really have a recipe, I just kinda add things in depending on what I’m in the mood for.
This is SO cool. The girls at MOMentous Moms have been talking about doing something like this via YouTube. Obviously you are professional but I LOVE the idea.
This is AWESOME!! I also had never been by your blog before and I absolutely love it! 🙂
oooh I have a new found guac love. I add tons of tomatoes, always!
People that we party with tend to go for the broccoli and ranch. It’s always the first to go!
That sounds really good for these cool fall days we’re having in ATL!

Yes, I am so honored to be a part of it – we’re headed into our fourth week, and it’s a blast!
How cool is that! Congratulations. Looks like you gals have a great time too.
If we had a panel like this in my town it would be perfect. Great way to discuss issues.
I love pinwheels for parties! My Stepmom use to make them when I was growing up. 🙂
So proud of you doing this!
