When Red and I went to Chicago last week, he was promptly spoiled rotten by both his grandparents and his Great- Grandmother, Nana. One really heartwarming thing I got to witness was my Dad (T) reading a bedtime story to Red.
But it wasn’t just any bedtime story. It was the same little book from 1987 he read to my brother when he was little. The book was lost in the move for quite some time, and not being able to find it, T went online and found a copy of the book No More TV, Sleepy Dog (out of print since ’91) for a great sum of money… and gave it to Red for his first birthday. so sweet.
The following shots I tried to sneak without Red seeing my camera/phone. One of the shots was not sucessful as he tried to worm out of T’s arms to get the small electronic. 🙂
After the story was read, the little monkey was put to bed. I hope that we can either keep our book in tip top shape or find another to gift down one day. Such a special treat. Thank you, T! We miss you, Nonna and Nana!

How sweet..and precious memories.
I had a book like that I remembered reading when I was little and had a hard time finding it (Tikki Tikki Tembo), fortunately, it wasn’t too pricey.
