Red and I continue to have a “taste” of St. Louis on our trip to see Nonna and T, and last night, we REALLY had a TASTE! My parents took us to SubZero, a vodka bar. Yup; you heard me right! This little place specializes in vodka, serving over 600 varieties from around the world! They also have some mean burgers and some of the best sushi I’ve had in a landlocked state! It was so good, I’m making Mom take us back tonight! While Red munched french fries and I sampled Van Gogh martinis, we stopped to take some selfies with Red’s dinner companions…
Who better to share a “boat” of ketchup with than Mr. Smee and Captain Hook? Seriously, this kid is a DISNEY freak. You can even seen the top of Tick Tock Croc’s head in the bottom of the frame. (I’m so glad the brainwashing is paying off…. weeeee! This means we’ll be even more ready for our big Disney trip in 2016!) Anyone for a martini? Meet me in St. Louis! 😉
Gosh, I have not seen the inside of a plane sine i was Red’s age! I hope you have fun–that house is beautiful!
Traveling with kids can be stressful, but it’s also amazing to see things through their eyes! The snow looks so nice- especially from the inside.
What a champ! What a beautiful home!! Show us pics!!! 😉
Wow,their house is absolutely beautiful!
It looks like you had a blast 🙂 What a fun dinner. PS how were the Martinis?!
You both look like you were having a wonderful time! You guys are going to have a blast at Disney. We took our daughter there for the first time last year and it was by far one of the best experiences I have ever had. I can’t wait to go back!
Safe travels and I hope you both can enjoy yourselves. 🙂
A Tasty Martini and a Yummy burger, I am always for that. Yes you are going to love Disney, I took my son when he was just shy of 3 and at 5 he still actually remembers details of the resort and theme park which amazes me. But it really is a magical experience so I guess it’d be hard to forget.
I would love to check out a vodka bar! I never realized that many varieties of vodka even existed. Those are some cute dinner companions you have there!
Aw, it looks like he really enjoyed himself! I’m so glad he was able to travel so close after surgery!
have SO much fun at disney. we went last january with our 3 kiddos for the first time!
How fun! This makes me excited for my next trip, although plane rides with my kids are never easy! Glad you guys had fun despite the snow!
We go to Disney World every year and I tried to find Jake (or Captain Hook – or Smee) for my six year old, but no luck. We are going again in August, so we’ll try again.
He looks like he had a blast. I wish I could travel more with my kids. Its rare that they ever get to see snow.
My son loves Jake and Peter Pan too! Plus, 600 vodkas? That place sounds awesome!
My parents got these at the Disney Store – it was a 6 or 7 piece Jake and the Neverland Pirates figurine set! good luck finding some!
omg… 600 vodkas… I’m in heaven! 🙂
It is so much fun – even the bartop is FROZEN! There is one in Atlanta called Czar!
The martinis were to die for – so many combinations and tastes, as well as full mixed cocktails and tasting shots. Something for everyone!
I want to so badly… by the time Red goes to bed the sun is down, and you know the pictures aren’t as good. I have a few more days to capture some!!
No kidding… I can’t wait to share the inside!
Thank you – we are making the most of it!
That’s the place! 🙂 I went to the arch and it was very cool!
I’m trying to collect pictures while wrangling Red – it’s hard to chase him around in such a purposefully segmented old home!
Oh my gosh, that house is absolutely beautiful! I bet it looks even more gorgeous inside!
What fun! Gotta love when the little ones are happy and the big ones are enjoying martinis. Love it.
Nerd ball….nay! I would had love to seen that. I’ll be taking mine on a trip in March. THis will be his first big flight.
That looks like a lot of fun! I would be interested in trying sushi at a land locked location that is ‘really’ good!
I’m sure thankful you didn’t show a drink picture. I’m due at the end of March, and have wanted a drink so badly, lol!! That would be a fun restaurant to check out!
Oh my, Lindsey! That is a gorgeous home! It’s so wonderful that you are able to visit with family. I’m so glad that little Red is feeling better, too. Enjoy your vacation!
A vodka bar? Now that, I’d love to go to!
A 2016 Disney Trip? I bet you are so pumped!
I too would love to have a big Disney trip in 2016!! I think that would be a good age for all my kids!
Oh, I have never been there but I need to try it! I think your little guy would get along well with mine – we love Disney!
That looks so cute. I went to a subzero vodka bar (but not kid friendly) in New Zealand and they had the vodka drinks on slabs of ice, plus gave you fur coats to wear inside.
I’ve only had the girlie tinis, I would love to try something new this year. Sounds like a fun bar.
I don’t drink alcohol. I’d be in for some good burgers, though!
i’ve been craving a good burger. a martini sounds wonderful most nights
I am totally for the good burger! I have never heard of a subzero vodka bar, sounds interesting!
I want to go. I want to go. Now I want a burger.
I have never heard of a vodka bar, my husband would love that place. Oh and it serves sushi next time I go visit family in Indiana I’m going to need to swing by St. Louis lol
A vodka bar sounds really cool! And we plan on going to Disney in 2016 or 2017 too!
I think they have one of those Vodka bars here in Vegas. So fun!
A Vodka bar sounds great right about now, LOL I like the girly martinis best.
I am a big fan of most martinis! I love a good dirty martini as well as a sour apple! YUM! Do we have any vodka bars in Altanta? I call a girls night soon!
