I want to thank Yoplait and Liquia for sponsoring today’s #TasteOff, and giving me the opportunity to openly express my honest opinion.
It’s on! A true yogurt #tasteoff between Yoplait Greek Blended Blueberry and Chobani Greek Fruit on the Bottom Blueberry yogurts. The two culinary mixes met in my house to butt heads and see which of them is the tastiest of all! In fact, when I came upon them in the kitchen, they were really duking it out… check out the picture!
They had on their angry eyes and everything! I had to call a timeout on Chobani for eye gouging and Yoplait for hair pulling… Do you like my fancy outfit? I got it at a very chic store called Shoppe de Photo…. Sorry. I had to get a little silly with it being a #tasteoff and everything – it seemed like such a sporting match!
In all reality, when I tasted both of the yogurts, I started out as a skeptic. Sure, I like Yoplait yogurts, and I’m a fan of most greek varieties, but what I really am is a “fruit on the bottom” person. I fully anticipated that Chobani would win. I wasn’t sure that Yoplait could really get behind a Greek variety of this tasty snack.
Here’s a short video of my #tasteoff:
And what do you know… Yoplait really surprised me. It had the fullness and mouthfeel of a greek yogurt, but the complete creamy blended-ness I have come to expect and cherish in a Yoplait. Not to mention that the blueberry flavor was stronger and easier to detect in the Yoplait. Both varieties had real blueberries in the mix, but Yoplait’s beat out the competition. I did read that in a national taste test, Yoplait® Greek Blueberry Beat Chobani® Blueberry Fruit On The Bottom. For reals. It’s no wonder that people are holding #tasteoffs for themselves!
Yoplait has NO artificial sweeteners or flavors, which fits perfectly in line with our family! Instead, in includes natural colors and REAL pieces of fruit, which I happily chomped until I scraped the bowl clean! Available Nationally, 5.3 oz greek Yoplait yogurt cups come in Blueberry, Coconut, Pineapple, Strawberry Raspberry, Vanilla, Tangerine, Cherry, Raspberry, and Strawberry.
Yoplait was the clear and easy winner in our house. After all the tasting was done, Hubs walked to the fridge to retrieve the half full Chobani, and after he tasted it, he said, “Man, that’s chalky.” Clearly he knew which tasted better! In fact, there wasn’t any Yoplait left at all… Take the taste test for yourself and tell me which was your favorite!
