After I had the jogger assembled, we went for many a stroll and walk as the weather warmed up, and I was suprised at how smooth it was. The air-filled rubber tires provide suspension for a butter-like ride over the streets, sidewalks and even graveled paths. Red was right at home in the padded, reclined seat and I was happy that he was safely restrained in the 5 point harness (a must for a wiggly todder when you’re jogging).
The parent tray is my favorite. While it offers two very deep cup holders, the central portion also features a universal phone/MP3 player holder (Otterboxes make it reaaaaaally snug, and mine doesn’t fit while it’s in it’s case. I make do with a 45 degree insertion) as well as a fully close-able compartment for keys or other valuables when you’re out and about.
The FastAction™ Fold Click Connect™ Graco Jogger is unlike any other jogger I have ever used. This bad boy features a one second, FastAction™ single step fold with an automatic lock and kickstand that keeps it upright and ready to load. Seriously – it’s a one-handed lift and lock. Done. The kickstand does come disconnected from one point or another from time to time- it’s a tight click back in place (but a small pain in the rear). It’s my only “complaint” but more a needed redesign instead of a dealbreaker; far from it.
The Graco Click Connect feature is one that Graco has introduced to several of their car seats, including the SnugRide Click Connect 40 which I wrote about last fall. The click connect series has an audible click and provides a very secure one step attach. The stroller will accept ALL click connect carseats.
