Thank you to Tindol Subaru in Gastonia, NC for sponsoring today’s discussion. For some great cars with top notch safety features, visit them on the web. As always, words and opinions are my own.
Subarus. Celebrities are driving Subarus! If you’re a Tosh.0 watcher, like Hubs and I are, you know that Daniel is a Subaru Outback driver. People are already clamoring for his car! Tosh isn’t the only one that’s a Subaru Outback fan. Did you know that Dave Matthews is also a Subaru driver? Yup. He’s another proud Outback owner. It happens to be one of the most popular cars in their lineup. Just take a peek at the roomy driver’s cockpit in the Outback (Tosh is 6’3″, which is one tall comic!):

How about the one and only, dreamy, Joel McHale? Yup. He’s the very proud owner of a customized Subaru Impreza ESX STi. Look at all that good-lookin-ness on the hood of that Subaru! And these cars aren’t just style. The IIHS cherry picked four Subarus for their 2014 IIHS Top Safety Picks. The Subaru Legacy, Outback, Impreza, and the XV Crosstrek were all touted for their safety. That makes the mom in me a happy camper. Only the best for my Mom-Taxi!
The International Institute for Highway Safety is using new criteria for their awards in 2014. To be a Top Safety Pick, a car is required to have good performance in front, side, roof and head restraint tests and now, for the first time, good performance in the “small overlap front” test introduced in 2012. It’s much tougher to attain these high ratings and prestigious awards. So, if you’re visiting Tilson Subaru, you know you’re going to walk away with a very safe car for you and your family (or that dreamy celebrity that you want to smuggle away and marry).
While you’re dreaming of your new Subaru, sure to visit Tindol Subaru online or in person. They are a short drive up 85 from Atlanta, in Gastonia NC. Even if you have a question, the chat operators on their website are friendly and informative. How about you? Have you even owned or driven a Subaru? What’s your favorite feature?
I almost bought a Subaru for my mommy mobile. I’m selling the hubs on this next time π
How freaking awesome of him!! π What a wonderful charity!!
Wow, that is amazing! Good for your hubby and good for you for sticking with the donation to a worthy cause!
What a great thing to do and a great program! I commend you for doing this, your hubby rocks! And he doesn’t look bad with a shaved head at all. Glad you all saved so much for this, kudos!!!
What an awesome thing to do! Good things happen to those that do wonderful things. π
Which one will you pick? There are so many! I think I’d spring for an Outback.
Your husband is my hero. You guys rock!
My friend owns a Subaru too! I think they are too small for our family, but they seem like a great car to own.
I love Tosh!! I have a friend with a Subaru and it’s an awesome car. I might look into getting one, too, when it’s time for me to get a new car.
I’ve only ever been a passenger. They are great cars….but I’m pretty sure they won’t fit our family of 6 with 4 carseats/booster seats!
My Dad swears by these vehicles. He says they’re absolutely wonderful.
I’ve never been in a Suburu, tho0ugh I hear they are great vehicles.
Oh, this looks/sounds like a great vehicle! I will have to check them out!
It’s a nice vehicle, that’s for sure. I can see why celebs are driving them!
My younger brother has only ever driven Subarus. He swears by them.
What a wonderful way to raise money for charity… Bravo to your hubby!
How interesting! I never would have thought of Subarus! That Outback looks fantastic!
My mom has a Subaru… Forester, maybe? She loves it though! So do I! π
I have never driven a Suburu but if I had my pick, I would have to go with what Dave Matthews drives – The Outback. It’s reassuring to know that Suburu has won so many safety awards. Thanks for sharing!
My parents had his and hers outback wagons years ago. They drove those cars forever. Well over 200000 miles each!!
I’ve never driven a Subaru before. The Outback looks like a really nice car!
Subaru makes great cars. It’s great to see celebrities driving something that lets us know they’re real people, too!
I like seeing celebrities drive “regular” cars. It seems so wasteful to have a bunch of $200k cars sitting around just to show how rich you are.
So many people in our city drive Subarus. They’re great cars!
How amazing that he raised so much- and even more amazing that you guys matched it! That’s great!
I’ve never heard of this foundation before. I’m glad that he chose one where the proceeds go to children’s cancer. He raised a lot of money!
That’s cool that he shaved his head to help this cause. And it is super awesome that you guys matched the donation – even though it was more than you expected. π Awesome!
