OMG, y’all. I have been gone forever. As of Thursday, I will have been gone for 12 out of 16 days, with the 4 leftover days spent on tech rehearsal for a show. I’m BUSHED! But, even though I’ve been on the road, I’ve had some crazy-awesome adventures. I attended my first Mom2.0 Summit in California, my first Disney Social Media Moms Celebration in Walt Disney World and visited some family I hadn’t seen in six months. I also had some incredible family time built into the last 2 segments of my adventure, which makes for some great Mommy and Me photos!
The Mom2.016 Summit was beautiful! It was far colder than I expected in Southern California, but still filled with beautiful vistas and some of the best friends a girl could ask for. I made sure to be a good roomie (or I hope I was!) and we all had a great time learning, pampering ourselves, encouraging others and dressing up for the Iris Awards. Our celebrity surprise host was Alphonso Ribeiro. You know: CARLTON from Fresh Prince. If you blinked, you missed his “Carlton dance.” He wasn’t keen to repeat or share it, but since it’s a part of his fame, I think he should embrace it!
The Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was AH-MAZING. I took Red and my Mom with me, since Chase was gunning to run his Tough Mudder race (he finished as muddy as he could be, but fast, strong, and a winner to me!). I had an incredible time with my little guy on this third trip to WDW, and I’m incredibly grateful to my Mom for entertaining him while I had to attend my conference portion and be the lucky recipient of some pixie dust.
I made sure to get a little alone time in the parks and with some of my favorite characters. I LOVE having Memory Maker, and if you haven’t read my post on it, here’s why I think it’s the BEST splurge you can make on a Disney Vacation.
Lastly, the 2016 Disney Celebration ended on Mother’s Day, so while I know Chase was sad I wasn’t with him or Scarlett, I had an awesome Mother’s Day with Red and my Mom. I don’t think I’ve shared a Mother’s Day in person with my mom in over 8 years, so this year was really special. Chase surprised me with incredible on-the-road treats from Disney Floral and Gifts. For reals, y’all; he spoiled me rotten, so Thank You, Baby!
It has been a whirlwind weekend these last few weeks! Glad I got home to my babies for Mothers Day. I was missing them at Disney.
