I hadn’t even been blogging for a year, had earned barely enough money to cover the cost of an early bird ticket, and didn’t know a soul that was attending. But I bought it anyway. Nearly a year later, I have grown as a writer, a photographer, a Mom, and a social media user. I have made some of the most wonderful friends from the Georgia Social Media Society, a huge group of bloggers that are like virtual sisters. These ladies support me, comment on the blog, share invites and are all around some of the most wonderful people that I barely know and some, never laid eyeballs on.
The best part about the upcoming conference this weekend? I get to meet some of them, hug others and hang out with these gals for a whole weekend. I’m even ditching the boys for one night to stay downtown and “live it up”. I’ll be learning new ways to introduce my life events to you, my adored readers (be assured that although I may not have met each of you in person, I value your readership more than you know!! Seriously!!), become more social media savvy and have a bunch of fun!
Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter all weekend for a bunch of fun photos of me being super goofy and stuffing my face full of Atlanta food. You’ll get to see me meet some friends and make tons of new ones. I can’t wait to both learn a ton and treat myself to some fun. And hey, Type A totally explains a portion of my personality. Super straight laced and still flowy/artistic. I’m an living juxtaposition.
