Welcome to the Home Tour for Christmas 2012! There are so many decorations for Xmas around our house that I can only share part of what we do. Every year we add, change, move and re decorate. Here are some of our favorites!
My tea-light advent calendar is guarded by a partial nutcracker collection and clay angels (handmade by my father-in-law).
Hanging around is our real Frasier fir greenery swag and Hermey; our elf (I think he’s waiting on a smooch!)
My village is an heirloom from my Nana. The 6-home collection with figures and cars is from It’s a Wonderful Life. Welcome to Bedford Falls! (With more Nutcrackers)
On the mantle sits the bulk of the Nutcrackers. Spilling over to nearly every Red-proof counter space in the house, this year’s addition brings the collection to 60 total!

I have 30 creches in my collection with strict height and size requirements! The smallest is contained in 1/2 of a walnut shell, and the largest is no taller than 4″.
Our 2012 Christmas tree – fitting for a family with a 19 month old… please notice the concentration of lights piled on the bottom, and the lack of ornaments on the lower 3′.
…and the lights and garland have been “rearranged” with love by Red.
