No, this post isn’t about getting baby on a schedule. It’s more about working out a baby schedule between me and Hubs. He started working from home a few months ago, and it’s been stupendous. He’s been around the house more, so that means he’s cooking, cleaning, and the yard has never looked better (please overlook the hill of death in the backyard that is our forever #slackerproject).
With me working shows both in the professional theater and at school, that means odd hours for me during the week, and a strange pattern in the house, especially when my shows have been back to back.
Hubs and I find ourselves going over the calendar several times a day, everyday. We check out who has Red during the day, meal planning and even pickup/dropoff plans for Red’s upcoming first day of Parent’s Morning Out.
It’s exhausting getting it all done. Sometimes planning it out becomes half the battle. I praise the day that iCal was invented and synchronized with Hubs’. It’s made having each other’s calendars on the computer and on the phone so easy. We can alter and add to each others’ and we always know who is where. It’s really a simple, needed blessing.
I’m thankful for the ability to do what I love, and extra extra proud of Hubs and his new casting venture. After a super long day of running around both with and without Red, I’m happy to finally sit down and spit out some disjointed thoughts. 🙂
