Remember that time I went to visit mom, and I promised you pictures of the inside of the 1912 house? I totally slacked! Here are a few that I grabbed when Red was calm and not running amuck. Some of the highlights include the original gate to the neighborhood, the original electrical panel with family names written on the rooms, and the lady of the house’s jewelry safe embedded into the walls (…still locked.)
GORGEOUS. I love going back in time to get a taste of the past like this. It’s amazing how much has changed over the last century. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos!
Game development sounds the the ideal dream job for all these gamer kids! how cool is it to actually make your own game?! This place seems like a great option to get the ball rolling!
Wow! So pretty! I love all the old hardwood and built-ins you can find in the old houses.
You’re welcome. I wish I had time to take MORE! There’s always the next visit!
Thanks – yes, the built ins in this house were in EVERY ROOM. Original AND custom.
I totally think, if I had never had kids obviously, I probably would’ve turned into a gamer junkie that plays ALL day long! I just try to stay away so I don’t get sucked in haha
My MIL has an old house like that (not sure the year). So many things look similar to theirs, like those door knobs!
I do hope you’ll keep sharing from this house. It’s so pretty – and so cool to see all of the original features!
That house is soooo pretty. I bet it looks great around Christmas time because it’s just gorgeous as it is with the snow all around it 🙂
I absolutely love old houses and old fixtures/finishings!
Oh my word I LOVE the outside of the house! It’s absolutely gorgeous! Old houses have such character!
that house is amazing. and that bathroom. my godparents had one JUST like it when i was little- that pic just took me rushing back to my childhood!
Wow, that is a house with a lot of character!
Thank you for sharing! It’s simply gorgeous.
Oh I can practically hear and feel the history there. This is spectacular.
Yay! And yes, those are the ORIGINAL sinks! My photo of the original toilet was corrupted. 🙁
Wow, so cool. I love old homes!
in love with that doorknob. my grandmothers house had old doorknobs and cool locks like that.
Pretty! I love old houses, they are so full or charm and history!
That house has so much character I’m in love!
Wow, that bathroom is amazing! I love the pedestal sinks. Are they going to get the safe opened??
This place looks just like the old mansions we have around here. It is always so cool to see the interiors of old homes, and estates.
I love homes with history and this looks like one of the good ones! The bathroom is my favorite. I love the sinks and the set up. You never know, maybe there are lost treasures in that locked safe!
I love that tile in the bathroom. So pretty!
There’s nothing like an old home with character. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I especially love the family history you found in the electrical panel, of all places. So cool.
Oh, so much charm!! I love homes with little historic touches!! I love seeing in other’s homes!
This looks so cool! My kids would love this!
Wow, some of those details – like the knobs – are similar to what was in my great grandmother’s house growing up. Considering she was 90 years old, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised!
It’s funny. I really like modern gadgets and technology, but there is something about the old architecture that thrills me.
