Remember that time I went to visit mom, and I promised you pictures of the inside of the 1912 house? I totally slacked! Here are a few that I grabbed when Red was calm and not running amuck.  Some of the highlights include the original gate to the neighborhood, the original electrical panel with family names written on the rooms, and the lady of the house’s jewelry safe embedded into the walls (…still locked.)

GORGEOUS. I love going back in time to get a taste of the past like this. It’s amazing how much has changed over the last century. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos!

I totally think, if I had never had kids obviously, I probably would’ve turned into a gamer junkie that plays ALL day long! I just try to stay away so I don’t get sucked in haha

My MIL has an old house like that (not sure the year). So many things look similar to theirs, like those door knobs!

This place looks just like the old mansions we have around here. It is always so cool to see the interiors of old homes, and estates.

I love homes with history and this looks like one of the good ones! The bathroom is my favorite. I love the sinks and the set up. You never know, maybe there are lost treasures in that locked safe!

There’s nothing like an old home with character. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I especially love the family history you found in the electrical panel, of all places. So cool.

Wow, some of those details – like the knobs – are similar to what was in my great grandmother’s house growing up. Considering she was 90 years old, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised!

It’s funny. I really like modern gadgets and technology, but there is something about the old architecture that thrills me.
