Checking in on my 2014 Goals with ZonePerfect

Disclaimer: Zone Perfect has provided me with a yummy box of snacks and some information to help me along my path to continued wellness during 2014, and has asked that I share my plans with you. No other compensation was received, and comments and opinions are my own.
Earlier this year I set some goals for myself, and I’ve become very focused on them! Zone bars have become a snack of choice, especially the toasted coconut bars that are “simple” and clean. Talk about YUM! All the flavor and none of the guilt.
I’ve started drinking more water during my day, and even started trying out some yoga and a cardio barre class!  It was different, super tough, but I’m really trying to carve out more time to dedicate to my health.  Maybe I’ll eventually hit the gym next week… it’s so overwhelming in there!
Zone sent me some guidelines for smarter swaps and I thought you might like them, too!  If you’re not already choosing water as your beverage for each meal, try working towards better choices.  Choose flavored water instead of soda, or lose the sweetener in your tea (I know this is HARD for us Southern folks, so try a half and half mix).  Regular coffee works better than a latte, too.
It took me many many years to like Avocado (it was actually sushi that pushed me in that direction) but now I love it. Add some tomatoes and I’m all in!  Use that instead of mayo, or try some thick greek yogurt as your sour cream. If you start with small dollops, you’ll never notice!
Lastly, if you’re a fan of the Zone bar like I am,  you can become A ZonePerfect® VIP & Save up to $10 each year.  Your coupons will even be mailed to you! Join Now.  Keep in mind that your $10 in savings relates to savings spread across a one year period and may vary.
Need another way to get more energy and eat smart? Visit the Redhead Baby Mama Facebook page for a flash giveaway for a lipstick charger from Zone Perfect. The giveaway will last 24 hours, so act fast… ends 5/15/14 at noon…

The low calorie one is good – needs a little extra salt or seasonings. But the fresh ingredients it asks you to use are awesome!

Believe it or not, drinking plenty of water sounds simple but it’s actually super hard, because I end up going to the bathroom all the time. Sometimes I’m too focus with my work and forget to drink water or simply don’t want to waste time to go to the bathroom! 🙂
