Disclaimer: Zone Perfect has provided me with a yummy box of snacks and some information to help me along my path to continued wellness during 2014, and has asked that I share my plans with you. No other compensation was received, and comments and opinions are my own.
Earlier this year I set some goals for myself, and I’ve become very focused on them! Zone bars have become a snack of choice, especially the toasted coconut bars that are “simple” and clean. Talk about YUM! All the flavor and none of the guilt.
I’ve started drinking more water during my day, and even started trying out some yoga and a cardio barre class! It was different, super tough, but I’m really trying to carve out more time to dedicate to my health. Maybe I’ll eventually hit the gym next week… it’s so overwhelming in there!
Zone sent me some guidelines for smarter swaps and I thought you might like them, too! If you’re not already choosing water as your beverage for each meal, try working towards better choices. Choose flavored water instead of soda, or lose the sweetener in your tea (I know this is HARD for us Southern folks, so try a half and half mix). Regular coffee works better than a latte, too.
It took me many many years to like Avocado (it was actually sushi that pushed me in that direction) but now I love it. Add some tomatoes and I’m all in! Use that instead of mayo, or try some thick greek yogurt as your sour cream. If you start with small dollops, you’ll never notice!
Lastly, if you’re a fan of the Zone bar like I am, you can become A ZonePerfect® VIP & Save up to $10 each year. Your coupons will even be mailed to you! Join Now. Keep in mind that your $10 in savings relates to savings spread across a one year period and may vary.

I never knew about the lipstick charger! I want one! Xo
Lindsey Paris says
Mashed Avocado over Mayo is brilliant!
Lindsey Paris says
I really like that you have access to them forever. That’s like having a cookbook on hand!
Lindsey Paris says
I didn’t realize you could access the meals forever. That’s kind of awesome. I am speaking with them later this week!
Lindsey Paris says
Emeals sounds like a fun plan! I am much more interested in it now than before! Thanks!
Lindsey Paris says
It’s a cool place on the square. I’ve had to learn to love avocado, but now I totally do!

You can’t be far from being an affiliate!
Lindsey Paris says
The low calorie one is good – needs a little extra salt or seasonings. But the fresh ingredients it asks you to use are awesome!
Lindsey Paris says
I so need this in my life. Some nights I’m too pooped to thing about dinner or menus for the week!
Lindsey Paris says
That’s great! Meal planning can save so much money and aggravation! – Jenn @ The Rebel Chick

I now want to try the coconut zone bar, since I didn’t know that flavor even existed! Love the swap ideas.
Lindsey Paris says
I love mashed avocado on toast. It is so much better than Mayo!
Lindsey Paris says
This is a
great post! We all need some kind of organizer and it’s very important that we
are able to cook healthy home-cooked foods to be sure what we put on our
family’s table.
Lindsey Paris says
Great idea on the condiment swap! I love avocados- all i need is a spoon!
Lindsey Paris says
I love emeals. I haven’t used it in forever though! I’d love to pick it back up with the clean eating family plan.
Lindsey Paris says
I’m definitely needing to do better…good thing I love avocado. I need to drink more water, too!
Lindsey Paris says
The menu planning is the hardest part of feeding a family. This seems like a good service.
Lindsey Paris says
I never would have thought to swap mashed avocado for mayo. That is a great idea, though!!
Lindsey Paris says
eMeals is absolutely fantastic! We made burgers in the crockpot. So easy!
Lindsey Paris says
That is a great idea. We do try to plan meals, but that doesn’t always work out for us. This would help.
Lindsey Paris says
I want to try these now. Chocolate Mint sounds delicious.
Lindsey Paris says
This is such a smart idea. Menu planning is always hard for me and then I feel like I’m scrambling to come up with something for dinner.
Lindsey Paris says
Half and half is a great way to ease a little sugar out of tea. I’ll have to check these zone bars out for a quick fix on the go.
Lindsey Paris says
I need to drink more water. I’ve swapped my sodas for tea- I think that’s a little better.
Lindsey Paris says
I always wing it with dinners, not a big planner. BUT I would be willing to give this app a try to eat cleaner! Love this app idea!
Lindsey Paris says
I plan everything except for my meals… and then when we end up throwing out produce, I get really sad that I didn’t use it up. Emeals sounds like a great way to stay organized!
Lindsey Paris says
I’ve swapped sour cream for greek yogurt and I honestly like it better! Sweet tea isn’t really a popular thing in Canada so I don’t have to worry about that one. Those Zone bars sound yummy!!
Lindsey Paris says
Sweet tea is my downfall! I just LOVE it! I can go without soda… Need to keep working at cutting back.
Lindsey Paris says
Gah, I just missed the giveaway. I need to be quicker next time. 🙂 I bet hubby would like those zone bars to take with him to work.
Lindsey Paris says
I love ZonePerfect bars! They are always in my bag and pantry. That chocolate fudge graham one is my favorite!
Lindsey Paris says
I love the chocolate mint bar. And the charger has come in handy SO many times in the past few weeks. (I want to try a pure barre class one day. The cardio barre sounds crazy interesting.)
Lindsey Paris says
Emeals is my favorite! I’ve been a paleo subscriber for over a year now!
Lindsey Paris says
These sound tasty.. Pure Barre is new to me.
Lindsey Paris says
I used to put avocado on all of my sandwiches. You may have inspired me to go back to that.
Lindsey Paris says
eMeals is so helpful and easy! That pizza looks delicious!
Lindsey Paris says
I have some of the same goals as you have – I have been trying to drink more water. So hard. I eat a lot of avocados although I know they are high in fat. But I love them. Great that you are doing good with your goals
Lindsey Paris says
Believe it or not, drinking plenty of water sounds simple but it’s actually super hard, because I end up going to the bathroom all the time. Sometimes I’m too focus with my work and forget to drink water or simply don’t want to waste time to go to the bathroom! 🙂
Lindsey Paris says
I have always wanted to check out emeals but just haven’t gotten around to. I am the worst about coming up with dinner ideas.
Lindsey Paris says
These are all great swaps!! I personally love to substitute sour cream for greek yogurt 🙂
Lindsey Paris says
Sounds like you’re working hard and that you’ve made some great changes! Keep up the good work! – Jenn @ The Rebel Chick

Those meals look fabulous! I hate trying to decide what to have for dinner. Sometimes it is such a chore.
Lindsey Paris says
emeals is such a helpful site. Saves so much time and helps busy families eat well.
Lindsey Paris says
I think my comment was eaten my the interweb. But I would probably try the clean eating meal.
Lindsey Paris says
The Greek Chicken Orzo soup looks amazing and I would want to try that!
