This post brought to you by Zubie. All opinions are 100% mine.
Back in the day when I was a teenager, cellphones weren’t that commonplace, and only a few of my friends actually had cars to drive around. I was fortunate enough to have permission to drive my Dad’s maxima when I had to go to work, or when my friends and I wanted to go out. Beside my Mom having excellent faith in me when I said I was going to the karaoke bar, she made me call when I got there, call when I was leaving, call when I left my best friend’s house, etc. TONS of checkpoints from my borrowed cell phone (that belonged to her and Dad) and lots of worry. I’m happy to know that the folks over at Zubie have invented a service to take worry out of the equation when Red is ready to take the wheel. (um… in a few years).
Zubie is a nifty little service offering a device that plugs into your car’s computer. The free app on your smart phones effortlessly combines with the device to track your car from place to place, notify you of your car’s condition, explain confusing dashboard alerts, and even save you money! A teen driver will no longer have to “check in” when they arrive at school, home, or the karaoke bar. Because karaoke is only a gateway to more singing... I LOVE that Moms don’t have to worry about when their kid arrives at a location – that has to be my most favorite feature of the Zubie.
Besides the location feature, the Zubie service also offers car maintenance care tips, like when to change your oil – taking care of a car is already a hassle and expensive, so take that preventive maintenance where you can! If you’ve been saving those Best Buy or Amazon gift cards, now is the time to cash in those babies!
What feature of Zubie intrigues you the most?

Great tips! Especially 8, I always prepare for the worst. That way, I’m never disappointed and usually pleasantly surprised. 🙂
