I am grateful for you, dear reader. You, who read with me each week, who have tried my family recipes, and join me in my love for the South (and it’s weather!). I am so appreciative of each comment, interaction and on my little corner of the web. It is with great happiness that I bid farewell to 2015; it has truly been a banner year! Our family bought a new home, I gave birth to the other third of my heart, Scarlett, and partnered with incredible businesses to help stretch my writing voice and even ventured a little more into video.
To help celebrate the New Year, I’ve complied some of my favorite posts as well as your favorites, in case you missed them. If one of your favorites is missing, let me know. To 2016!
1. Paint Your Furniture Without Sanding
Consistently the top performing post on my site, though I don’t think of myself as a DIY-er! I’ll tell you that the dresser is still holding it’s own after all these years with NO chips!
2. Please Don’t Hold My Baby
I wrote this post when Scarlett was very very young, and my hormones were driving everything I do. To tell the truth, 6 months later, this is still often the case. I’m getting better, but strangely protective and EXTREMELY hermit-y about everything nowadays. I feel a post brewing over that, too!
3. The Ultimate Cough and Cold Guide for Babies and Toddlers
I loved writing this post. It was partly so I would never forget all of my favorite remedies for little ones that can’t have much medicine, but I’m touched that so many others have found it helpful, too!
4. How to Install Safety First Cabinet Latches
A baby proofing must, I didn’t realize how hard these suckers were to install at first. That being said, if you get it right, they work for YEARS. Worth the few dollars you will pay for them!
5. Easy Cow Costumes for National Cow Day at Chickfila
I LOVE Chick-fil-A. It’s my favorite meal outside of the house, (besides BBQ!) and I love the service each franchise provides. It’s also a place where Red can burn of some energy while Chase and I have a “date” over a milkshakes while we monitor the playground! Try these easy costumes for the summer when cow day rolls around and Chick-fil-A gives away FREE meals!
6. Evoq Travel System Review
I didn’t see this post being a winner, but it’s very popular. The Evoq travel system was new to me this year, and people apparently want to know more about it!
7. Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread
Even my picky eater loves this one. My “Punkin” bread, as Red calls it, is a favorite in our house. I consistently find slices missing from the blue stoneware bread pan each time I walk by! I make it two loaves at a time.
