What a weekend. Friday was busy. Saturday was even busier – tile/toilet picked out, (because the guest bathroom is so nice the master now looks like doody), mowed edged and trenched the yard, washed the cars, had a field trip to run the Silver Comet Trail, and then the unthinkable…
I had a wonderful friend pass away. It took my day completely away. Suzanne, or as Red would have called her, “Gramme”. She was 73 and one of the most courageous women I knew. She fought cancer for years, heart trouble and about a billion other ailments, and always had a smile on her face. I cannot believe she is gone. She was like an extra grandmother to me.
This photo was from Christmas a year ago – one of my favorite pictures of us. We always went to Christmas tea, and this was from our Daughters of the American Revolution club, for which I wouldn’t be a member if it wasn’t for her.
I miss her dearly. I feel for her husband and 3 daughters. I love her still.
Today begins a week’s worth of tech rehearsals for Inherit the Wind at The Lovett School. If, on Thursday night, you find yourself at 7pm (EST) with nothing to do, hit up this link and watch the kids online!
Lastly, here is a quick photo I snapped of Red and myself this morning, in order to participate in Really, Are you Serious’? Mommy and Me Monday blog. I took it of the two of us, and the Ham Child already knows how to smile for a camera that no one is behind. I’ve created a monster.
Hop on over to see her post and the other that participate. Thanks for reading!
